Why
is it that every good thing ends.

It was 26th Sept 2015 I slept late the night before since I was creating a presentation for the event but the morning was early, I woke up early by the wake-up call from our Rep Rahul Talreja "Get Up Guys". It was supposed to be a long day since we had to travel for 2 hours on the not so very well maintained roads for the first time for the the Moz-event. I was Super Excited. And finally the moment came when i stepped into the cab I was relieved to see the familiar faces of my teammates. We left bhopal at around 7 o'clock and reached the Vidisha just before it was 9 o'clock we were received by the warm welcome at the Samrat Ashoka Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, Vidisha, MP, India.

we
were then welcomed by tilak and then we had a light breakfast
and setup the lab for the workshop by installing simulator (add on
needed for app testing – virtual device). We had 2 labs in total
where we accommodated around 150-180 students
we finally began the workshop at 10 am, where we started with Tilak ceremony and a grand welcome by volunteers. We were amazed to see a rangoli of firefox made by them on college entrance as a sign of welcoming Mozilla to their institute.
Shubham Dantare the in house volunteer introduced us with the entire audience and than Rahul was handed the mike and he started with introduction of our team. During the event we were team of 7 people.

- Alsiha Jose (Womoz)
- Satyadeep Bharadwaj (SuMo)
- Aditya Shah (FSA)
- Kushagrh Varade (Fx-OS App dev)
- Vidit Sharma (me) (Localisation)

Then
he handed over the mike
To Aditya Shah after
his
session for explaining about Firefox Student Ambassador program, Aditya leaded his
session by giving a brief intro on FSA program, explaining structure
and levels in programs, etc; we did on spot recruitment also.
We
got a huge response from their end (join request on fb
community groups, some of them also approached us personally after event and we shared
our contact details to guide them personally).

After this finally My session begin I was supposed to teach the attendees to help localize Mozilla and products into their native language (Hindi for most of them) through Locamotion and Verbatim. It was a nice session I saw people localize very easily and they were excited to do so.

And
then next sesion was taken by our WoMoz
RASHMI SRIVASTAVA and ALISHA JOSE about:
- womoz
- why be a womoz?
- motivations
- awarenss
- how to be a leader?
- to be confident and skills development.
- womoz empowerment
Then
came the section the students were most eager for the App Dev. On
stage came our App master Kushagrh Varade, the skills he has got to
demonstrate the app structure are unbeatable and thus people who
never coded before were all clear with concepts of app development.
He taught them with such an
ease that even I was fascinated by his lecture.

Lunch Time |
After
this by 2 PM we did our lunch and planned to resume back at 2:30. The
best part was in the next half we had 100% attendance …thanks to
our awesome team
mates that we were successful in creating
that level of enthusiasm in attendees which
got them back to the
labs.
We
then began with
app sprint, since due to shortage of time students
were not able to complete apps but few among them had some awesome
ideas which they started implementing in the finest way possible. We
collected all raw incomplete apps and promised students to help them
in near future to make their apps fine and finished ones. After this
we taught them how to submit app on market place such that later
after workshop when they are done with final product they can also
upload on market place and get rewarded for their work.
After
this,it was the chance of the second major theme of event to be completed. We
were assigned task to promote Hindi and
other localized version of Firefox Browser and bring more and more
contributors in project,
Thereafter
we were able to get 80-100 downloads of Hindi version of Firefox
during the event.
After
That Rep Rahul Talreja again took the stage and talked
about the Geo Stumbler and demonstrated the app to the students with
the details of campaign currently running.
Last
but not the least we inaugurated the club and helped members to
understand how to complete all the pre-requisites (CLT Process etc)
and by mutual decision Shubham Dantare was elected as a lead from
their club. Shubham assured us he will take full care of his members
and his club and will also make sure club remains active and more and
more people Contribute to Mozilla from his club.
